Everton ‘request finally met for Beto sale’ as final fee emerges
Torino are confident of finally completing a deal for Beto after submitting a new £15million offer for the Everton striker, according to TuttoSport.
The Italian outlet reported on 29 January that the Serie A side have raised their latest offer, which is an initial loan with an obligation to buy the 26-year-old, by paying £5m up front and the remaining £10m over two years.
Having previously launched a £12.6m bid with a similar structure for the wantaway Guinea-Bissau striker [TuttoSport, 27 January], Torino are now close to the valuation made on Beto by the Toffees, and expect it to be accepted.
Beto wants out of Everton in order to return to Italy, it is claimed, having been a bit-part player for much of his time at Goodison Park.
With Torino finally meeting Everton’s requested price tag, a transfer could be on the cards before 3 February.
Beto transfer represents massive risk for Everton
At the start of January, selling Beto appeared to be the Toffees’ top priority as they look to strengthen across several positions, and collecting a transfer fee for the striker could facilitate new incomings.
Beto was even spotted at Manchester Airport as he edged closer and closer to a return to Serie A, but the sacking of Sean Dyche and developments on the injury front since make his exit a huge risk.

Having started the month as the Blues’ third-choice striker behind Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Armando Broja, Beto is now the only centre-forward that new manager David Moyes has to choose from.
Injuries picked up by Broja and Calvert-Lewin in back-to-back matches, plus the continued absence of Youssef Chermiti, leaves Beto as the only striker Moyes can call upon ahead of the transfer deadline.
Beto’s exit may well allow for the Toffees to bring in a new striker to replace him, but with just days left in the transfer window, there’s a good chance that if a transfer is greenlit, Everton could be left in the lurch.
